During STEM Week in Primary and Maths Week in Secondary students had maths-focussed and STEM-related activities all week. There was a special maths challenge for every morning organised by Secondary maths teacher Mr. Poole. Primary students also got to use microscopes to investigate tiny creatures and watched a dissection done by Ms Rodea. Students also competed with 9 other schools for the Black Sea Schools Maths Cup for the second year in a row. The competition was bigger than ever this year - 9 schools participated from 5 different countries for the trophy. Participants were asked to complete 15 problem-solving questions in 40 minutes. The results saw Avenor College take first place, BESA second, IBSB third with BIST ranking fourth.
