The Asureti Adventure
Another successful expedition unfolded last week in the Asureti area, where a group of ten BIST Year 10-12 students completed the final challenge of their International Award: the Silver Qualifying Journey. The challenging 3-day trek pushed them physically while providing valuable insights into the region’s historical significance.
Building on the success of previous Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award hikes, students aimed to not only achieve their personal goals but also to promote the beauty and cultural significance of Georgia, the country they call home.
Similar to the previous hike, this Silver Journey is more than just a trek. Students are encouraged to push their boundaries, celebrate their achievements, and actively contribute to the world around them. Through challenging expeditions like this, they develop a deeper understanding of themselves, build strong relationships with peers, and cultivate a lasting appreciation for the natural world.
