Algeti National Park Adventure
Nineteen students from Years 9 & 10 at BIST successfully conquered a challenging two-day hike in Algeti National Park, near Manglisi, as part of their Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award journey.
Despite rugged terrain and hefty backpacks, these determined young adventurers completed the trek, mastered camp cooking, and stayed on course to achieve their Award goals.
This remarkable experience is more than just a hike; it’s a valuable opportunity for students to develop essential life skills. The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, a globally recognized framework for non-formal education, pushes participants to dream big, celebrate their accomplishments, and make a positive impact on the world around them. Through experiences like this challenging hike, students build resilience, teamwork skills, and gain a newfound appreciation for the outdoors.
