BIST Students Receive Prestigious COBIS Student Achievement Awards

We are thrilled to announce that the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) has honored three outstanding students from our school with the prestigious “Student Achievement Award.” This recognition highlights exceptional personal accomplishments and noteworthy contributions these students have made, not only to our school but also to the wider community.

The entire BIST community extends heartfelt congratulations to Lucas, Salome, and Adam for their remarkable achievements.

Lucas: A Beacon of Leadership and Community Engagement

Lucas, currently a Year 13 student, demonstrated unparalleled commitment to fostering sporting opportunities within the Tbilisi school community. Amidst diligently working on his AS Levels, Lucas conceptualized and spearheaded the Lions Invitational Basketball Tournament, a successful event involving schools across Tbilisi. His leadership shone through in the meticulous planning, marketing, and execution of the tournament. Lucas also actively engaged in volunteer initiatives, dedicating over 40 hours to community service within the academic year 2022-23.

Salome: Head Girl and Community Dynamo

In her role as Head Girl for the academic year 2022-23, Salome exhibited exemplary leadership. She spearheaded various student council initiatives, organized public and in-school events, and played a pivotal role in the success of our girls’ football team and program. Salome’s active participation in the Community Outreach Programme further showcased her dedication to making a positive impact within and beyond our school.

Adam: Head Boy Leaves a Lasting Legacy

Adam, who has since graduated to pursue higher education, left an indelible mark as the Head Boy during the academic year 2022-23. He led student council initiatives, orchestrated public and in-school events, and represented the school in basketball and football. Adam’s commitment to the Community Outreach Programme reflected his belief in the power of community service to create meaningful change.
