University Application Session

Equipping Students for Success

On Wednesday, April 10th, BIST held a University Application Session for Year 11 and 12 students, along with their parents. This informative session, marking the return from the Easter break, aimed to equip students with the knowledge and resources needed to navigate the university application process.

Previously held as a university evening event, this year’s session reflected the importance of early planning and engagement for a smooth application journey.

The session featured insightful talks from Principal Mr. Priest and Head of Sixth Form Mr. Pemberton. BIST’s dedicated university counselling team was also present to answer questions and provide detailed explanations on the application process, including crafting compelling personal statements and letters of intent.

Recognizing the diverse university aspirations of BIST students, the session offered dedicated information segments on applying to universities in the UK, USA, and the EU. Parents were also invited to attend in person or virtually via livestream, ensuring everyone had the opportunity to gain valuable insights.

This informative session signifies BIST’s commitment to supporting students throughout their academic journey. By providing comprehensive guidance and resources, BIST empowers students to make confident and informed decisions about their future university studies.
