Unveiling Remembrance

Unveiling Remembrance: School Honors Fallen Heroes

Last Friday, our school held a poignant ceremony to unveil a Remembrance Memorial, paying tribute to the fallen servicemen and women of the UK, Commonwealth, and Georgia. The memorial, featuring the poems “In Flanders Field” by John McCrae and “The Poppies of Krtsanisi” by Lado Asatiani, stands as a symbol of gratitude and respect.

Mariam and Niklas from Year 11 delivered moving readings of the poems, adding a personal touch to the commemoration. Flight Sergeant Searle of the Royal Air Force, our honored guest from the British Embassy Defence Section, had the privilege of unveiling the memorial.

This ceremony was a collective moment of reflection and gratitude, bringing our school community together to remember and honor those who bravely served and made the ultimate sacrifice. The memorial now stands as a timeless reminder of their dedication and valor.
